Just like with the first game

We’ve been very eager to get our hands on Hades 2 ever since it was announced back in late 2022, but unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait just a bit longer – because it’s getting console priority with the Nintendo Switch 2.

Yes, a new video posted by Nintendo 2 today includes the line “launching first for consoles on Nintendo Switch 2”, with more information coming later this year. This statement appears late in the following Creators Voice trailer:

Hades 2 will likely now be coming to Xbox consoles in 2026. The Switch 2 version seems to be arriving in the second half of this year, so don’t be surprised if we’re waiting another 12 months to get a Hades 2 release date for Xbox.

The same thing happened with the original game, of course – it arrived for PC and Switch in September 2020, and then made its way to Xbox in August of 2021. It looks like the sequel will be following a similar pattern as well.
