Rob49 recently hit the sweet spot of creating catchy lingo through a song that people enjoy with “WTHELLY.” The 26-year-old rapper recently previewed a remix to the song featuring a few big names.
The New Orleans artist appeared on popular streamer Reggie’s latest Twitch session this week and debuted the long-awaited remix to the world. Latto appeared first, bringing her usual confidence and southern belle charm. Next, G Herbo jumped in and added some chaotic energy. The last featured artist was Justin Bieber, who slowed the beat down a bit and added a soulful element to the humorous, frantic track.
It is unclear when the “WTHELLY” remix is going to drop, but given its star-studded cast and the variety of vibes, it will surely add some momentum to the already viral record. Check out the remix below.
Rob49 dropped the original version of “WTHELLY” in March, and it quickly caught on due to the funny way he evolves the made-up word. “What the helly, Berry/ What the helly, Burton/ What the helly, ‘Bron James/ What the helly Cyrus,” he raps.
Naturally, many people were curious as to where the lingo originated from, and Rob49 was happy to share. “It’s something that my partners came up with in New Orleans,” he told TMZ about the phrase. “We just be saying it, so I put it in a song.” Justin Bieber quickly expressed his approval of the song, DMing some of the lyrics to the young star as shown in an Instagram post by Rob49. He suggested they link up in Los Angeles, and evidently, the rest is history.
Outside of “WTHELLY,” Rob joined Cash Cobain and Bay Swag on “Trippin On A Yacht” this past February. They shared the visual in March, just weeks before “WTHELLY” took over the internet. Last year, he joined Cardi B for “On Dat Money,” Moneybagg Yo on “Bussin,” and linked up with Lil Wayne for “Wassam.” Watch the “WTHELLY” music video below.
