A former police officer was killed during a robbery at a liquor store on Barnett Street in Montego Bay, St James on Monday.

It’s reported that the former cop was working as a security guard at the liquor store.

Sometime after 5 o’clock a gunman reportedly attempted to rob the store, during which he shot the ex-policeman.

Radio Jamaica News was informed that the suspect was recently released from prison.
