What in the KYB is that? No, it’s not a Yamaha. Yes, the Fantic 300cc two-stroke is coming to the U.S. All this and lots more inside the July 2025 issue of Dirt Bike Magazine. We take you inside the Glen Helen Two-Stroke Motocross World Championship for a look at the bikes, pits, racing and the two-stroke festival that is taking on a life of its own. BIKES
- FANTIC ARRIVES
We’ve seen them from afar and asked questions that went unanswered—until now. Fantic has officially arrived in the U.S., and the answers are right here.
- MODEL YEAR 2026 BEGINS HERE
The trickle of new bikes is beginning to turn into a steady stream. Rieju has announced a new 300 two-stroke, and Sherco has opened its account on 2026.
- GASGAS EC450F
GasGas has opted out of the 450 class when it comes to full-race cross-country bikes. Instead, the EC450F trail bike is here with a racer just under the surface.
- YAMAHA WR450F
Yamaha has rescinded its “look but don’t ride” decree on the WR450F off-road bike. We finally got to ride it as long as we promised not to take it anywhere near California.
- TM 300EN CORSE
After a brief hiatus, TM Moto is open for business in the U.S. The 300EN Corse is the first off-road bike to officially arrive stateside, and it was clearly worth the wait.
- KTM 300SX
Once upon a time the Open-class two-stroke motocross bike was highly respected and somewhat feared. The 300SX now builds on that legacy with a less intimidating approach.
- GASGAS EX300
In the GasGas hierarchy, the EX300 is expected to magically change from off-road race bike to motocrosser on demand. It’s more smoke than mirrors.
SPECIAL BIKES
- DANTE’S TWO-STROKE
Dante Oliveira is a factory rider who found himself without a factory bike for the Two-Stroke Championship. A small plumbing company stepped up to fix that.
- BIKES OF THE TWO-STROKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Old bikes, new bikes, project bikes, factory bikes and rolling disasters, they are all on parade at least once a year at Glen Helen.
- PROJECT BIKE SPOTLIGHT
What exactly is a “Pasha bike”? We find out as we look at the bike that won the 125 Pro class of the Two-Stroke Championship.
FEATURES
- DENAGO FACTORY TOUR
Once again, we attempt to answer the question, “Where do baby motorcycles come from?”
- TWO-STROKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The smoke has cleared and the verdict is in. The Wiseco Two-Stroke World Championship is the quirkiest race of the year. And yes, it truly is a World Championship.
- SUPERCROSS SUPER-WRAP
It was one of the most unpredictable Supercross championships in years. In the end, the result shouldn’t have been a surprise at all.
- NEVADA 200
Who doesn’t love to stroll through a good Hall of Fame? In the motorcycle industry, not all of them are in real halls. Some are out on the trail.
- OFF-ROAD REPORT
The 2025 season has approached the summer break, and the racing is hotter than ever.
