People are being asked to comment on Cherwell District Council‘s draft Licensing Act.
This is part of a public consultation allowing residents and businesses to have their say on the draft Licensing Act, which affects premises and events.
Cherwell District Council is the Licensing Authority under the Licensing Act 2003, which means it is responsible for the administration and enforcement of Premises Licenses, Club Premises Certificates, Personal Licenses, and Temporary Event Notices.
The council must prepare a written Statement of Licensing Policy, outlining how it will carry out its licensing functions.
The policy is reviewed every five years, with the last review in 2021. The review aims to ensure the promotion of licensing objectives.
