“While I can’t believe it took this long for these three incredible bands to get together and head across our beautiful country, I promise all of you that it will have been well worth the wait,” said Windsor-born Jeff Martin, who along with fellow Sandwich secondary school classmates Jeff Burrows and Stuart Chatwood formed The Tea Party in 1990.

The Tea Party, took a hiatus in 2005, reuniting in 2011.

The bands’ co-headlining tour, set to kick off Nov. 25 in Penticton, B.C., brings the artists together for the first time.

The idea for the tour emerged organically, sparked by members regularly crossing paths at various music festivals. Despite decades in the Canadian rock scene, they realized they had never toured together.

“This tour is a rock lover’s dream come true,” said Finger Eleven’s Scott Anderson. “Never before has there been an opportunity for us to join musical forces.”

Finger Eleven formed in Burlington, Ont., in 1990 as a Rainbow Butt Monkeys as an alt, funk-rock band but changed their name to Finger Eleven in the late-1990s, while Headstones, featuring Hugh Dillon, Trent Carr, Tim White, Steve Carr and Jesse Labovitz, burst onto the punk-rock scene in Kingston, Ont., in 1989.

“This tour intends to right this wrong, nay, this massive injustice,” Anderson added. “I’m beyond excited and can’t wait to see the fans’ reaction to this lineup.”
